On June 9, 2019 Calvary Baptist team members of youth and adults joined the team from Edge Hill Baptist Church of Hurt, Va to travel to Nicklesville, VA on a mission trip to share the gospel and help improve the living conditions of residents that live in the old coal mining area. They stayed in a former retirement home known as “The Manor” ran by Jan and Tony Johnson who are missionaries in residence and who directed the work for them.
Their mission was to go to the residence of a single mom to replace the kitchen floor, and to work in the Food Pantry. They all worked diligently and completed their tasks in the few days they were there. There were many donations of materials and supplies from both churches. They returned safely on June 13 with mission accomplished!
